Jean Michel Jarre a pioneer in the electronic, ambient, new-age. His works such as Oxygene, Equinoxe and Rendezvous are legend. A prolific live performer, Jarre performed to a record-breaking audience of more than one million people at the Place de la Concorde in 1979, a record he has since broken three times. Jarre uses a wide range of analogue synthesizers and effects to create and perform his music and of course most of these instruments are very rare and no longer available. If you can find used instruments they are likely to cost a fortune.

SuperWave has now introduced backing tracks for many of Jarre’s works enabling keyboard players of all levels of ability to create their own live performances of his work. We supply the complete track as a reference and the backing track (MP3 and WAV format) without the lead voices so you can play them yourself.

All of our backing tracks were created using the SuperWave Equinoxe synthesizer which has been specially designed to reproduce the sounds needed to accurately recreate live performances of the works of Jean Michel Jarre. SuperWave Tiny Pops and D-909 drum modules were also used to create the backing tracks.
